- An AI-powered clinical tutor (Ailah)
The App is intended as an educational supplement to formal clinical training, not as a replacement for it.

- Clinica content is not a substitute for the professional judgment, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations of a qualified healthcare provider.
- Drug dosing information, clinical guidelines, and reference values may be out of date, incomplete, or not applicable to your jurisdiction, institution, or patient population.
- Always consult current, authoritative clinical resources and qualified healthcare professionals before making any clinical decision.
- Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read or learned in this app.

4. AI Tutor โ Ailah
Clinica includes an AI-powered clinical tutor called Ailah, powered by Anthropic's Claude API. By using Ailah, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Ailah's responses are AI-generated and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information.
- Ailah is designed for educational purposes and is not a clinical decision support system.
- You will not rely on Ailah's responses for patient care decisions without verification from authoritative clinical sources.
- Conversations with Ailah are transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.
- Ailah may have limited knowledge of recent clinical guideline updates, regional variations, or institutional protocols.
5. Permitted Use
You may use Clinica for:
- Personal educational and study purposes
- Clinical exam preparation (NCLEX and equivalent)
- Reference during clinical training, under appropriate supervision
- Continuing professional education
You may not use Clinica to:
- Provide medical advice to others as if it were authoritative clinical guidance
- Circumvent your institution's clinical decision support systems or policies
- Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App's content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
6. Intellectual Property
All content within Clinica โ including text, clinical reference material, quiz questions, drug information, calculators, and educational modules โ is the intellectual property of Clinica's developers unless otherwise stated.

- Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Clinica is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any content
- Warranties that the App meets any specific clinical, regulatory, or professional standard
10. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring that your use of Clinica complies with your professional regulatory requirements, institutional policies, and applicable laws.
- Independently verifying any clinical information before applying it in a clinical context.
- Using the App in accordance with your level of training and scope of practice.
- Maintaining the security of your device and any data stored locally by the App.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Clinica and its developers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
12. Third-Party Services
Clinica uses the following third-party services:
- Anthropic Claude API โ powers the Ailah AI tutor. Use of Ailah constitutes acceptance of Anthropic's terms of service and privacy policy.
- Google Fonts โ used for display typography. A standard CDN request is made when an internet connection is available.
- Cloudflare โ used for hosting and content delivery.
We are not responsible for the terms, practices, or availability of these third-party services.
13. Updates and Changes
We reserve the right to:
- Update, modify, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without notice.
- Modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date.
Continued use of the App after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, Canada.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
